DDG is the stage name of the American Hip-hop artist, YouTuber, and social media influencer Darryl Granberry Jr. He was born in Pontiac, Michigan on October 10, 1997. He started YouTube in 2011 and is the owner of four YouTube channels, DDG, The DDG Family, PontiacMadeDDG, and PontiacMadeDDG Vlogs. He created his first channel PontiacMadeDDG in 2011 and has gained a following on the channel of 1.4 million subscribers with 111 million video views. In 2014 he started his second channel PontiacMadeDDG Vlogs which has also gained a following of 1.4 million subscribers with 189 million video views. In 2017 he created his music channel titled DDG that has a following of 788k subscribers with 67 million video views. That same year he also created the channel The DDG Family which has gained a following of 2.6 million subscribers and over 300 million total video views. In 2015 he started uploading his music to Soundcloud. The first songs he released were “Dope”, “Free Parties”, “G.O.A.T.”, and “Balenciagas.” He released the song “Givenchy” in 2017 that became an immediate success and went viral on YouTube. In 2019 he released his debut EP titled Sorry 4 The Hold Up. He also has a large following on social media with 2 million followers on Instagram and 225k followers on Twitter.
