Diana Krall
Diana Krall is a Canadian jazz pianist and singer born in Nanaimo, Canada on November 16, 1964. She started playing piano at at four years old and by 15 she was performing at locally. She released her debut album Stepping Out in 1993. Krall has since released the albums Only Trust Your Heart, All for You: A Dedication to the Nat King Cole Trio, Love Scenes, When I Look in Your Eyes, The Look of Love, Live in Paris, The Girl in the Other Room, Christmas Songs, From This Moment On, Quiet Nights, Glad Rag Doll, Wallflower, Turn Up the Quiet, and Love is Here to Stay. She is the only jazz singer to have eight albums debuting at the top of the Billboard Jazz Albums chart and has sold over 6 million albums in the United States and over 15 million internationally. She has had nine gold albums, three platinum, and seven multi platinum albums. Diana has also made appearances in several films and television shows like At First Sight, Melrose Place, Jazz Seen: The Life and Times of William Claxton, Anything Else, De-Lovely, Mississippi Rising, Spectacle: Elvis Costello with…, and Public Enemies. Throughout her career she has won 5 Grammy Awards, 8 Juno Awards, 1 SOCAN Award and others. In 2004 she was inducted into Canada’s Walk of Fame.
