Diesel

Diesel is a Dutch pop/rock group formed in the Netherlands in 1978. The band started as a hobby by Pim Koopman, but turned into a successful band. In 1981 they became one of few Dutch bands to have a charting song in the United States after their song “Sausalito Summernight” reached number 25 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It also reached number one in Canada. The members of the band are Rob Vunderink, René Meister, Orlando Milan, Ron van Elswijk, and Mark Boon. They released their debut studio album in 1980 titled Watts In A Tank. The album reached number 68 on the Billboard 200 chart and number 38 in the Netherlands. They have since released the albums Unleaded in 1982 and Diesel On The Rocks in 2001.
