DJ Sliink
DJ Sliink, born as Stacey White on November 8th, 1990 in Newark, New Jersey, is the first global star of the Jersey Club music genre. Sliink’s musical style is a bass heavy, staccato style of hip-hop with beats running into the 130-140 beats per minute range.
DJ Sliink is one of the first DJ’s in the Jersey Club genre to receive international recognition in music cultural cities such as London, Milan, and Paris. The mainstream media, notably MTV, Vice, and SPIN took notice of Sliink when he collaborated with Flosstradamus on the EP Nomads. The EP spawned the recognizable trap songs “CROWD CTRL” and “Test Me” in 2013. The collaboration lead DJ Sliink to soundtrack fashion shows for both Alexander Wang and Rick Owens.
Sliink has appeared at numerous music festivals including Oakland’s SuperCity Summer Fest, and Ultra Music Festival 2016 and 2017. He has remixed hot tracks such as Rick Ross and Skrillex’s “Purple Lamborghini” off of the Suicide Squad official soundtrack. DJ Sliink once again tapped Skrillex and added Wale for the release of his own imprint, OWSLA, to create the track “Saint Laurent” in 2017.
