DJ Spooky
DJ Spooky was born Paul Dennis Miller on Washington, D.C. on September 6, 1970. He published the book Rhythm Science in 2004 and another anthology Sound Unbound in 2008. In 2011, Random House published The Book of Ice. MIT Press published his fourth book The Imaginary App.
He worked on the performance Terra Nova: Sinfonia Antarctica. Brooklyn Academy of Music commissioned the project for the 2009 Next Wave Festival. He also worked on and the Seoul Counterpoint in 2014.
He received the title National Geographic Emerging Explorer. The UN Peace Boat commissioned his project Peace Symphony. Meanwhile, Dartmouth College collaborated with the Museum of Science Boston for the planetarium show Hidden Code.
He received The Hewlett 50 Arts Commission Award for the creation of Sonic Web which will appear un the Internet Archive in San Francisco.
