Easy Lantana

Known by the names Easy Lantana or simply Lantana is Ohio native Marcus Waldon, who was born on September 11, 1987. As a young man, Waldon grew up listening to a variety of music, including Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jay-Z, Tupac, and Korn. After graduating from high school in 2005, Waldon was incarcerated for some time, but used that experience to turn himself around for the better. He released his debut mixtape “It’s Dat Real”, however he got into trouble again with the law and was sentenced to four years in prison for attempted robbery. When he was released in 2011, he returned to making rap music, and was able to release his mixtape Easy Lantana On His Way in 2012.

That same year, Easy Lantana was recognized at the Ohio Hip-Hop Awards, gaining five nominations during the ceremony. He later signed with Polo Grounds, an imprint of RCA, through which he released his single “All Hustle, No Luck” in 2013, for which he recorded a music video.
