Edwin Luna
Edwin Luna is a Mexican singer and songwriter born in Monterrey, Mexico on September 6, 1987. He is the frontman and founder of the band Edwin Luna y La Trakalosa de Monterrey. He started his music career at eight years old after his father invited him on stage to sing. By fifteen years old he was singing professionally at weddings with various back-up bands. In 2010 he formed his first band named Banda la Escandalosa and the same year was signed to Remex Music. After his first band disbanded, he formed the group Banda la Trakalosa de Monterrey. The group released it debut single titled “Despues de Ti No Hay Nada.” The single charted in the top twenty on Mexican music charts. In 2012 they released their debut studio album titled Doble Vida and have since released the albums Mi Otro Yo, 10+10, De Monterrey a Sinaloa, Asi Cantaba Mi Padre, and more. Over the years the band has seen much success and has toured around Mexico and the United States. In 2015 Luna decided to change the band’s name to Edwin Luna and La Trakalosa De Monterrey.
