Emmanuel Mudiay

Emmanuel Mudiay was born on March 5, 1996 in the Democratic Republic of Congo. In 2001, Mudiay applied for asylum in the United States of America during the Second Congo War. When Mudiay was in school, he developed a great love for basketball. After a successful high school career, Mudiay decided to play for the Chinese Basketball Associations team Guangdong Southern Tigers from 2014-2015. In 2015, the American NBA team, the Denver Nuggets, drafted him. He was the seventh pick in the 2015 NBA draft. In 2015 Mudiay was named to the All-NBA Summer League second team. His first game with the Nuggets was successful with a 105-85 win.
