Born in January 7, 1965, Vladimir John Ondrasik III or famously known as Five for Fighting, came from Los Angeles, California. His music genre revolves on soft, alternative, pop, and piano rock. He started his musical prowess when he was still two years old. He learned to play piano then the guitar at the age of 13. He soon started writing his own music, taking voice lessons at the same time. The name “Five For Fighting” was taken from an ice hockey’s rule book.
His major label debut was from 1997’s “Message for Albert” under Capitol Records. He then released “America Town” under Columbia Records soon after. As a one man band, Ondrasik rose to fame because of his 2000 hit “Superman (It’s Not Easy).” The song became famous because of the September 11, 2001 event. His song “100 Years” reached the Top 40 charts.
