Florence and The Machine
Florence and the Machine are an English indie rock band, consisting of vocalist Florence Welch, born on the 28th of August 1986 in Camberwell, London and songwriter, remixer and keyboardist Isabella Summers, born 31st of October 1980 in Hackney, alongside various other musicians. The band’s debut album Lungs was released in 2009 and held top position in the UK charts for twenty eight consecutive weeks. This album received widespread praise and was promoted by the BBC and they received a Brit Award in 2009.
With three more albums released thus far, the band has consistently received high praise for their work, holding more than ninety award nominations, they have won MTV Video Music Awards and Q Awards to name a few.
