Francis and the Lights
Francis and the Lights is the musical project of Francis Farewell Starlite. He released a series of EPs from 2007 to 2013, before taking a break from solo work for a streak of high-profile collaborations. Earning a production credit on Drake’s Thank Me Later, he became involved in the hip hop scene, where through connections he would collaborate with Chance The Rapper. First appearing on the Donnie Trumpet project Surf, he was a featured artist on the third track of Chance’s long-awaited solo project, Coloring Book. He finally returned to creating music as a solo artist with the track “Thank You,” in 2016. It was quickly followed with a music video for the track “Friends,” which boasted high-profile features from both Bon Iver and Kanye West.
