Fred Savage
Fredrick Aaron Savage was born on July 9, 1976 in Chicago, Illinois, USA. He started his career at age of 9 in the movie The Boy Who Could Fly (1986). When he was 12, he landed the lead in The Wonder Years (1988), for which he was nominated for two Golden Globes nominations and two Emmy nominations for Outstanding Lead Actor in A Comedy Series. Later that year, he starred in Vice Versa (1988), followed by The Wizard and Little Monsters, which he starred in with his brother. Later, in 2003 Savage appeared on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and was ranked #27 on VH1’s 100 Greatest Kid Stars.
Fred Savage started directing and producing on the briefly lived 1999 NBC sitcom Working. He later directed other sitcoms including 2 Broke Girls and Modern Family. In 2007, he was nominated for a director’s guild award for co-producing episodes for the Disney channel series Phil of the Future. For the past decade Fred Savage has continued to act, direct, and produce for numerous shows most recently a Netflix original series Friends From College.
