George Foreman
On January 10, 1949, George Foreman was born in Marshall, Texas. In 1968, he won a gold medal in the heavyweight division of the Olympics.
When he became a professional boxer, he won his first 37 fights. He claimed the heavyweight crown after beating Joe Frazier in 1973. He lost to Muhammad Ali in 1974, and it was the only time he was defeated by knockout during his career as a professional boxer.
Foreman retired after a fight in 1977. He returned to the ring in 1987 at the age of 39. He became the heavyweight champion title holder of the IBF and WBA at 45 by knocking out Michael Moorer in 1994. He had the honor to be included in the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2003.
