Ghetts
Ghetts, born as Justin Clarke on October 9th, 1984 in London, England is a British rapper that gained international fame with his association to grime music collective NASTY Crew. He left the group and set up his own crew called The Movement and began to rap under the moniker Ghetto.
In 2005 Ghetts released his first mixtape, 2000 & Life, under the moniker Ghetto to much acclaim. The tape featured various appearances from The Movement crewmates Devlin, Wretch 32, and Scorcher. His then 2007 mixtape, Ghetto Gospel, broke in the underground scene with the track “Top 3 Selected.” His 2010 mixtape The Calm Before the Storm saw him switch his moniker to Ghetts. The album is considered to be his best body of work to date and gained him mainstream radio play with the remix to the track “Sing 4 Me” being picked up by label All Around The World.
Ghetts released his debut album in 2014 entitled Rebel with a Cause. The album was released on the independent label Disrupt and received publicity on Twitter from Chris Brown when he shared the video for the track “Feel Inside.” The single “Rebel” peaked on the UK’s R&B charts at number 5.
