Henry Winkler
Henry Winkler is an American actor, author, director, and producer, born in Manhattan, New York on October 30, 1945. He is best known for his roles on the television series Happy Days, Children’s Hospital, and Arrested Development. His debut in television was in 1972 in the series Another World, he has since been in series like, Happy Days, Sesame Street, MacGyver, Monty, South Park, Big Apple, Third Watch, NUMB3RS, Royal Pains, Mad, New Girl, Drunk History, Up All Night, and many more. In 1974 he made his debut in film in the movie Crazy Joe, he has also been in the films, Scream, The Waterboy, Little Nicky, Click, Here Comes the Boom, Holes, Down to You, The Kid & I, among others. Throughout his career in film and television he has been nominated for a number of awards and has won two Golden Globe Awards, two Daytime Emmy Awards, a Primetime Emmy Award, and several more. In 2003 he became a children’s book author, co-writing a series of books with Lin Oliver about a 4th grade boy named Hank Zipzer with dyslexia, the learning disability Winkler also suffers from. There have been 17 books published in the series so far.
