Huey Lewis and the News
Huey Lewis & the News is a rock and roll band which was formed in San Francisco, California in 1979. The group is composed of Stef Burns, Johnny Colla, Bill Gibson, Bill Hinds, Sean Hopper, Huey Lewis, and John Pierce.
The band released several tracks which became big hits but the most popular of which is “The Power of Love” from their Sports album. The track, which topped Billboard’s Hot 100 charts, comes off their third album released in 1983, Sports. The song was also featured in the movie Back to the Future.
The group released, Huey Lewis & the News, their self-titled debut album in 1980. Other albums by the band are Fore!, Small World, Hard at Play, Four Chords & Several Years Ago, Plan B, and Soulsville.
