Jake Virtanen
Jake Virtanen was born in New Westminster, BC, CAN on August 17, 1996. He was the first round, No. 6 pick of the Vancouver Canucks in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. He made it to the BC Hockey Major Midget League All-Star Team in the 2011 Season while playing for the Fraser Valley Bruins. He also bagged a silver medal in the World U17 Hockey Challenge. In the 2013 season, he bagged a bronze medal in the U18 WJC and a gold medal at the Hlinka Memorial Gold Medal while representing Canada. He bagged a gold medal in the U20 WJC in the 2014 season. He played in the WHL with the Calgary Hitmen. He played for Utica Comets in the American Hockey League since the 2014 season.
