James Harden
James Edward Harden Jr. was born on August 26, 1989 in Los Angeles, California. Harden played both shooting guard and point guard for the Houston Rockets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He attended high school at Artesia High School in Lakewood, California and played two college basketball seasons for Arizona State University from 2007 to 2009. Harden was picked in the first round as the 3rd overall selection by the Oklahoma City Thunder in the 2009 NBA Draft.
Harden won several awards and medals – the NBA All-Star twice (2013–2017), All-NBA First Team three times (2014, 2015, 2017), All-NBA Third Team (2013), NBA Sixth Man of the Year (2012), NBA assists leader (2017), Pac-10 Player of the Year (2009), First-team All-Pac-10 twice (2008, 2009). He represented the United States and won gold medals at the 2012 London Olympic Games and 2014 Spain World Cup.
