Jasmine Murray
Jasmine Murray was born on December 12th, 1991 in Columbus, Mississippi. She is an American singer that is best known for being a finalist on the eighth season of the show American Idol. She began to sing at the age of three and won the Miss Mississippi’s Outstanding Teen pageant in 2007.
In 2008 she auditioned for American Idol with Fergie’s hit “Big Girls Don’t Cry.” She was eliminated from the competition and then brought back as part of the wildcard round and asked to join the Top 13. During the Top 13 round she sang the Jackson 5 hit “I’ll Be There.” She then went on to compete in the Miss Mississippi pageant and won in 2014. In 2017 she released her first single called “Fearless.” It charted at the number 12 position on U.S. Christian Songs Chart.
