Jeff Mills
Jeff Mills is a DJ and producer from the Rust Belt, better known as the founder of Underground Resistance, a techno collective of artists in the 1980s who cranked out most of the world’s politically charged acid house, electro, and ghettotech music. Jeff Mills parted from the collective once it could run without him and went by the moniker of The Wizard, only putting aside the name by 2013.
Jeff Mills is also the founder of Axis Records, and is also a filmmaker, having released his own videos and exhibitions of works from musical projects he’s put together. Speakign of film work, he’s also put together soundtrack work for films, including a remake of Fritz Lang’s “Metropolis” released at the turn of the millennium. Mills is a living legend in the electronic world, having won the DJ Award for Best International DJ.
