Jimmy Garoppolo
Jimmy Garoppolo is an American professional football player born in Arlington Heights, Illinois on November 2, 1991. He is currently a quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League. He played football in high school at Rolling Meadows High School in Rolling Meadows, Illinois for the Mustangs football team. He went on to play college football at Eastern Illinois University for the Eastern Illinois Panthers from 2010 to 2013. In 2014 he was selected by the New England Patriots in the second round, 62nd overall, in the 2014 NFL Draft. He signed a four-year contract with the Patriots for $3.4 million. He made his NFL debut in the 4th week of the Patriots 2014 season against the Kansas City Chiefs. With the Patriots Garoppolo became a two time Super Bowl Champion in Super Bowl XLIX and Super Bowl LI. In 2017 he was traded to the San Francisco 49ers and in 2018 he signed a 5-year contract with the 49ers worth a maximum of $137.5 million. Throughout his career he has recorded 2,968 passing yards with a completion percentage of 65.4.
