Joan Jett
Joan Jett & The Blackhearts was formed in 1979, the members being Joan Jett, Michael McDermott, Dougie Needles, Thommy Price, and Hal B. Selzer.
The band released the Joan Jett album which was later re-released as Bad Reputation. In 1981, the band released I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll. The title track from the said album topped Billboard Hot 100 for seven consecutive weeks and in 2016 it was inducted in Grammy Hall of Fame.
In 1988, the band came up with the album Up Your Alley which spawned the single “I Hate Myself for Loving You.”
This was followed by the album Notorious in 1991. Other albums released by Joan Jett & The Blackhearts are Pure and Simple and Sinner. Their latest album, Unvarnished, made it to Billboard’s Top 50.
