Joe Gifted
Atlanta rapper Joe Gifted was born Joseph McLester III. He began his career rapping as Joe Gutta in 2009, while still in high school. That year, he appeared on 106 & Park’s “Wild Out Wednesday,” and released 2 mixtapes hosted by DJ Scream, Who Hotter and Puttin’ On Shit.
In 2015, Joe changed his name from Joe Gutta to Joe Gifted and released mixtape From Gutta 2 Gifted. Mixtapes Diamond in the Ruff and Diamond in the Ruff 2.0 followed and featured production by DJ Swamp Izzo. Joe was signed to Warner Bros. Records and released single “Water” in 2017, which proved to be his breakout track. A popular remix of the song featured Gucci Mane and Quavo.
