Joel Edgerton
Joel Edgerton is an Australian actor, writer, director, producer, and filmmaker born in Blacktown, Australia on June 23, 1974. He made his debut on television in 1995 in the show Police Rescue and continued landing roles in the shows Water Rats, Fallen Angels, The Three Stooges, The Secret Life of Us, Dirt Game, and more. He also made his stage debut in 1995 in a production of Blackrock with the Sydney Theater Company and has since had roles in productions of Third World Blues, Love For Love, The Pillowman, Henry V and others. He has had roles in a number of popular films, including The Great Gatsby, Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones, Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith, Red Sparrow, Black Mass, It Comes at Night and more. Edgerton has been a writer, producer or director for the films Boy Erased, The King, Jane Got a Gun, It Comes at Night, The Gift, The Rover, Felony and The Square. Throughout his career he has been nominated for a number of awards and has won three AACTA Awards, a Hollywood Film Award, four Film Critics Circle of Australia Awards among others.
