John Travolta
John Travolta was born on February 18, 1954 in Englewood, New Jersey. He got his start in a stage performance of Grease before taking a supporting role in Carrie. He had a hit single in 1976 and starred in Saturday Night Fever in 1977 and Grease in 1978, which propelled him to international stardom. He earned an Oscar nomination for his role in Saturday Night Fever.
After a slight lag in his career, he starred in Look Who’s Talking and its sequels before getting another Oscar nomination for his role in Pulp Fiction (1994). After Pulp Fiction, Travolta had a quick string of films in the late ‘90s. He starred in a movie remake of Hairspray, the animated film Bolt, and the television drama The People v. O. J. Simpson.
