Juelz Santana
Harlem native Juelz Santana was born LaRon Louis James on February 18, 1982. He is said to have started rapping when he was just five years old, and as a teenager was involved in the duo Draft Pick for a short time. In 1999, Juelz Santana joined the hip-hop group known as The Diplomats, which were signed to Roc-A-Fella Records in 2002. After releasing many successful productions together, Santana made available his debut album entitled From Me to U in 2003, which went to the #8 spot on the Billboard 200 list.
He later released his sophomore effort What the Game’s Been Missing in 2005, which went Gold. That year, Juelz Santana appeared on Chris Brown’s track “Run It”. 2007 saw him back in the studio to prepare for the release of his third album Born to Lose, Built to Win, and in 2010, he collaborated with Chris Brown to release “Back to the Crib”.
