Julien Baker
Julien Baker was born in Memphis, Tennessee on September 29, 1995. She co-founded the rock band The Star Killers which eventually became Forrister in 2010. She released Sprained Ankle, her debut album, in 2015. She initially released the album online in 2014, but the remastered version has been reissued the year after.
She dropped a second album Turn Out the Lights in 2017. The title track from the album was considered as one of the best tracks of the year. She also founded another group, boygenius, in 2018.
During her career stint, she became the opening act for Belle & Sebastian, Conor Oberst, Death Cab for Cutie and Paramore. She also debuted in national television in 2017 and the year marked her appearances to The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and the CBS This Morning.
