Karl Jenkins
Karl Jenkins whose real name is Karl William Pamp Jenkins was born on February 17, 1944 in Penclawdd, Gower, Wales, United Kingdom. Jenkins is known for his contribution to jazz rack and classical music. He became a part of the rock band Soft Machine which is based in Canterbury. While with the band, he played in venues such as Carnegie Hall and The Proms. “The Armed Man,” one of the songs by Jenkins, was named as the No. 1 song in the Top 10 by Living Composers list of Classic FM. In 2016, he also received the BASCA Gold Badge Award for his music contributions. Among his most popular works include his Adiemus albums, Motets, and Still with the Music.
