Kevin Hearn
Kevin Hearn is a Canadian keyboardist and vocalist better known as a member of Barenaked Ladies, a band that embodies quirky college appeal and indie rock sensibilities better than almost any. Hearn is also a previous member of the band Rheostatics, and fronts his own group, Kevin Hearn and Thin Buckle. And as if that weren’t busy enough, he’s also released one album as “The Cousins” with his cousin, comedian and actor Harland Williams.
Kevin Hearn’s life is about as interesting as you’d expect from a member of Barenaked Ladies, a band that’s almost a cosmic anomaly with its period in history. For instance, he’s one of the few people to make a friend of the late rock legend Lou Reed, to the point of joining his touring band. As Kevin Hearn and Thin Buckle, he’s released four studio albums from 2001 to 2009, all of which have charted decently in Canada. Barenaked Ladies enjoys worldwide popularity, and any of their members that forms a solo band is almost guaranteed to find success.
