Krept and Konan

Krept and Konan are a London-based hip hop duo that has been active since the 2010s. After releasing two mixtapes, they first started gaining attention for a freestyle over Kanye West and Jay Z’s “Otis,” in 2011. This earned them a spot on a tour with English grime rapper Skepta. They released their third mixtape, Young Kingz, on Play Dirty in 2013. The mixtape made a major splash online, earning them the Best UK Newcomer award at that year’s MOBO awards. They released their studio debut, The Long Way Home, in 2015 on Virgin EMI. Launched by the Jeremiah-featuring single “Freak of the Week,” the album debuted at #2 on the UK Charts, establishing the duo nationally.
