Kunal Nayyar
Kunal Nayyar was born in London, England. After receiving his Master’s degree at Temple University in the pursuit of an acting career, he moved to Los Angeles. He first appeared in a performance of Hack & Holden (2006), which won him the Garland Award for Best Male Lead in a Play on the West Coast. Nayyar soon found work in television with an episodic role on NCIS (2007). It was then that he landed his most notable role as Raj Koothrappali in The Big Bang Theory (2007-present). Nayyar has been nominated for multiple television awards, including the 2014 People’s Choice Awards for Favorite TV Bromance, and Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series (2012-2017) at the Screen Actors Guild Awards.
