Hip-hop artist/producer Kweku Collins was born on September 18, 1996 in Rochester, NY.  Growing up in Evanston, Illinois, he began learning to play the drums at the age of 4, and would sometimes perform on stage with his professional percussionist father.

Collins signed to Chicago indie label Closed Sessions before graduating from high school.  In 2015, he released his debut EP, Say It Here, While It’s Safe, which quickly garnered millions of plays on platforms like SoundCloud.  His 2016 critically acclaimed debut album, Nat Love, earned an 8.0 rating from Pitchfork. Collins self-produced most of the album, but single “Death of a Salesman” featured Chicago producer Odd Couple.

In 2017, he released the Grey EP, which included singles “International Business Trip” and “Aya,” featuring Allan Kingdom. Kipp Stone and Sylvie Grace also make appearances.
