Kyrie Irving
Kyrie Irving was born on March 23, 1992 in Melbourne Australia. His father Drederick played professionally for the Bulleen Boomers in Australia when he was born. Kyrie has dual citizenship in Australia and North America. He is the godson to NBA player and gold medalist Rod Strickland.
Kyrie started his basketball career playing at Duke University for one season. After college, he played for the Cleveland Cavaliers from 2011 to 2017. He was named to the 2012 Rising Stars Challenge and won the 2012 NBA Rookie of the Year Award. In 2014, Kyrie won the All-Star game MVP in the 2014 NBA All-Star game. In 2016, he hit a three-pointer which helped the Cavaliers win the 2016 NBA Championship. In August 2017, Kyrie was traded to the Boston Celtics.
