L-Vis 1990
L-Vis 1990, born James Connolly in Brighton, England is a DJ and music producer currently based in London, England. He specializes in the genres of electro-bass, drum & bass, Chicago house, Baltimore club, and grime. He began his music career by DJing as a teenager and producing his own beats. In 2008 he made his solo artist debut with the four track EP called L-Vis 1990. The EP was released on the label Tres Cool. In 2009 he released several EP’s. These included the likes of United Groove on the label Made Decent, Compass/Zahonda on the label Sound Pellegrino, and Bok Book released on both the Night Slugs label and the label Dress 2 Sweat. L-Vis 1990 also began remixing around this time and garnered notoriety for his remixes of Gucci Vump’s “Sha! Shtil!”, Passion Pit’s “Little Secrets,” Crystal Fighter’s “Xtatic Truth,” and Frankmusik’s “3 Little Words.” He released his debut studio album, Neon Dreams, in 2011 on the Night Slugs label.
