Level 42

Level 42 is an English band formed in 1979 on the Isle of Wight, England. The current members of the band are Mark King, Mike Lindup, Nathan King, Sean Freeman, Pete Ray Biggin, Dan Carpenter, and Nichol Thomson. The band has sold 31 albums worldwide and have had one top ten hit on the American Billboard Hot 100 chart and six top 10 songs on the British UK singles charts. In 1980 they were seen playing together and were signed by Elite Records. They released their debut studio album in 1981 self-titled Level 42. The album reached number 20 on the UK Albums charts and was certified silver in the UK. They have since released the albums Strategy/The Early Rapes (July/Aug 1980), The Pursuit of Accidents, Standing in the Light, True Colours, World Machine, Running in the Family, Staring at the Sun, Guaranteed, Forever Now, and Retroglide. They have released 11 studio albums, 8 live albums, 6 compilation albums, 8 video albums, and 1 EP.
