Liam Payne
Liam Payne, born as Liam James Payne on August 29th, 1993 in Wolverhampton, England is a singer and songwriter that initially rose to fame as a member of the boy band One Direction. He started acting and singing in the Pink Productions Theatre Company at the age of 12. He cites Pharrell Williams and Justin Timberlake as his musical influences.
In 2008 and 2010 Liam took part in the British singing competition The X Factor. He was cut during both stints on the show, but during his 2010 run he was paired up with four other boys who were cut and qualified for the Groups category. The group One Direction was born placing third in the show and gained popularity in the UK.
Liam and One Direction signed to Syco Entertainment in 2010 and released their first studio album Up All Night the next year. The group released four more albums and became the first group to chart at number one consecutively for album debuts on the Billboard 200. As a solo artist Liam created the label Hampton Music Limited and has collaborated with artists such as Juicy J, DJ Mustard, Pharrell, and Miguel. In 2016 he signed a contract with Capitol Records and released his solo debut single “Strip That Down” featuring Quavo.
