Liu Wen
Liu Wen is a Chinese model born in Yongzhou, Hunan, China on January 27, 1988. She is best known as the first Asian model to be in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion show and the first Chinese ambassador of Estee Lauder. Wen started her career in 2005 as a contestant in the New Silk Road World Model Contest. She didn’t win the competition, but it kick-started her career and she landed work with the Chinese editions of Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar. In 2007 she was signed with Parisian Modeling Agency and began walking in runway internationally in 2008. She has since walked for big named designers and companies including, Tom Ford, H&M, Calvin Klein, Gap, Diesel, Alexander Wang, Hugo Boss, Lane Crawford, and many more. Wen has also been featured in magazines such as, Pop Magazine, GQ, Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue, Allure, Interview, among others. Liu became the first Asian to be in the top five on Forbes’ list of the highest paid models in 2013 as number 5. She has also amassed a large following on social media with over 4 million followers on Instagram.
