Lou Rhodes
Louise Ann Rhodes was born on November 1, 1964 in Leeds, United Kingdom. She is a singer-songwriter who lives in Manchester, England. Rhodes started her own record label Infinite Bloom, in 2006, which included her own debut solo album. This album, Beloved One, was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize. In 2007, her album was re-released in the United States along with three additional bonus tracks. Rhodes began touring in 2009, released a follow-up album in 2010, and subsequently recorded a third album in 2010. Lou Rhodes is also a published author, producing multiple books including a children’s picture book called The Phlunk, and an essay titled “The First Time I Heard The Smiths,” celebrating current artists recalling their early exposure to iconic bands.
