Mandy Patinkin

Mandy Patinkin is an American actor and singer born in Chicago, Illinois on November 30, 1952. He is best known for his role as Inigo Montoya in the film The Princess Bride. In 1977 he made his debut on Broadway in the play The Shadow Box and continued landing roles on and off Broadway in the productions Evita, Sunday in the Park with George, The Secret Garden, The Winter’s Tale, The Tempest, Falsettos, The Wild Party, and others. He made his debut in film in 1978 in the movie The Big Fix and has since had roles in the films Yentl, Daniel, Maxie, The Princess Bride, True Colors, The Doctor, Lulu on the Bridge, Life with Mikey, Men With Guns, Choking Man, Ali and Nino, The Queen of Spain and more. In 1978 he landed his first role in a television series on the show Taxi and has also had roles in the shows Chicago Hope, Dead Like Me, Criminal Minds, Homeland, Three Rivers, The Larry Sanders Show, and others. Throughout his career he has been nominated for a number of awards and has won a Tony Award,  a Primetime Emmy Award, a CableACE Award and more.
