Manny Pacquiáo
Manny Pacquiáo was born in Kibawe, the Philippines on December 17, 1978. He is known for holding a world title for eight weight divisions.
He won the WBC flyweight title in 1998. He won the IBF junior featherweight title in 2001. He won The Ring’s featherweight championship in 2003. The Ring named him as Fighter of the Year in 2006 and 2008.
Pacquiáo went on to win the WBA and IBF featherweight titles as well as The Ring’s and WBC junior lightweight titles. In 2009, Pacquiáo won The Ring’s junior welterweight championship. He snatched the WBO welterweight title from Miguel Cotto in 2010. Boxing Writers Association of America named him as the 2000s Fighter of the Decade. He won the WBC super welterweight title in 2010.
