Marion Cotillard
Marion Cotillard was born on the 30th of September 1975 in Paris and is a French actress, musician, environmentalist and Greenpeace spokesperson. With over fifty film appearances thus far, the actress received France’s highest honour in 2016 for her work in film. With various French theatre roles in her career, she appeared in her first English speaking role at the age of seventeen.
After several supporting roles in Hollywood, her breakthrough came internationally when she portrayed Edith Piaf in the biopic, La Vie en Rose in 2017 a performance for which she won an Academy Award, a Cesar Award and a Golden Globe to name a few. Some of the actresses best known English language films to date include Inception as Mal, Contagion as Leonora, Miranda in The Dark Knight Rises and Lady Macbeth in Macbeth.
