Marquese Chriss
Marquese Chriss was born on July 2, 1997 in Sacramento, California. Chriss attended Pleasant Grove High School in Elk Grove, California. He was ranked 55th best player in the nation. He was then recruiter by the University of Washington, where he began his college career. Chriss had 55 blocks his freshman year, which was the most ever attained by a freshman. In 2016, he declared for the NBA draft. The Sacramento Kings chose him as the eighth overall draft pick in 2016. He was then traded to the Phoenix Suns.
He signed his contract with the Suns in 2016 and began his NBA career. While on the Suns, he was named to the NBA All-Rookie Second Team. Chriss was the only Suns player that played 82 games in the 2016-17 season.
