Michael Giacchino
Michael Giacchino is an American film, television, and video game music composer born in Riverside Township, New Jersey on October 10, 1967. While in college, he started an unpaid internship at Universal Pictures. After the internship ended he was hired by Universal. He moved to Disney and in 1994 provided music for the video game Mickey Mania: The Timeless Adventures of Mickey Mouse and continued making music for the video games Small Soldiers, Medal of Honor, Chaos Island, Call of Duty, Call of Duty: Finest Hour, Black, Lost: Via Domus, Fracture, Up and many more. In 1997 he composed music for his first film, Legal Deceit. He has since composed music for the films Sin, The Incredibles, Sky High, The Family Stone, Cloverfield, Star Trek, Up, Land of the Lost, Earth Days, Super 8, John Carter, Jupiter Ascending, Inside Out, Zootopia, Doctor Strange, Coco, The Book of Henry, Jojo Rabbit and others. In 2001 he composed music for the television show Alias and has also composed music for the shows Lost, Six Degrees, Fringe, Undercovers, and Alcatraz, He has also composed music for short films and theme park attractions. Throughout his career he has been nominated for a number of awards and has won an Academy Award, a Primetime Emmy Award, three Grammy Awards, a Golden Globe Award and more.
