Mini Mansions
Mini Mansions are an American based band out of Los Angeles, California that play primarily indie-pop, and psychedelic-pop. The group consists of Zach Dawes, born Zachary Dawes on July 2nd, 1985, Tyler Parkford, and Michael Shuman, born Michael Jay Shuman on August 20th, 1985 in Los Angeles, California. The group was founded in 2009 after the breakup of the band Queens of the Stone Age. Michael Shuman is a former bassist for Queens of the Stone Age.
In 2010 the group released a self-titled EP called Mini Mansions through the labels Ipeca Records and Rekords Reckords. Mini Mansions released the single “Heart of Glass” which was a cover song of the artist Blondie. They also released two more singles in the year called “Kiddie Hypnogogia” and Wunderbars.” In 2014 Mini Mansions released a new single called “Death is a Girl.” Their second album, The Great Pretenders, followed in March of 2015. In 2016 the band released a B-side album called FLASHBACKS.
