Mo Willems
Mo Willems was born in Des Plaines, Illinois on February 11, 1968. His writing career started on Sesame Street where he stayed for nine seasons and earned six Emmy Awards. He also created Cartoon Network’s Sheep in the Big City and Nickelodeon’s The Off-Beats. He was also the head writer of Codename: Kids Next Door. He released Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! in 2004. The book became a New York Times Bestseller and received the Caldecott Honor. In 2005, he released Knuffle Bunny: A Cautionary Tale. The sequel, Knuffle Bunny Too: A Case of Mistaken Identity, was published in 2008. Both books received the Caldecott Honor. An animated series of Knuffle Bunny won Best Film in the 2008 New York International Children’s Film Festival.
