Morten Tyldum
Morten Tyldum was born on May 19, 1967 in Bergen, Norway. Getting his start at the School of Visual Arts in New York, Tyldum originally wanted to become a musician, but then he found his love for film. He won several foreign awards between 2002 and 2004 for his work in the film Buddy.
Tyldum became well-known to Americans through his work on The Imitation Game (2014). This gained him nominations for an Oscar Award as well as an Academy Award for Best Director. He is the only Norwegian director thus far who has received a Best Director Oscar nomination. Some of his other notorious feature films include Headhunters (2011) and Passengers (2016), which features the famous Jennifer Lawrence. Tyldum is working on some television shows and one movie that are set to premiere in the near future – Pattern Recognition (2017), Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan (2017), and Counterpart (2018).
