Rapper NF was born Nathan John Feuerstein on March 30, 1991 in Gladwin, Michigan. He was raised by his father, and his mother died of an accidental drug overdose in 2009.

He began his rap career in 2010. His debut album, “Moments,” was released under his birth name, Under the name Nate Feuerstein, he released the single “Beautiful Addiction” in November 2013. In 2014, he signed with Capitol CMG and Sparrow Records. His debut EP, “NF,” was released in August 2014 and reached number twelve on the Billboard Top Christian Albums, number fifteen on the Billboard Top Rap Albums, and number four on the Billboard Top Gospel Albums charts. “Mansion,” his debut studio album, was released in March 2015. It peaked at number 62 on the Billboard Top 200, number nine on the Billboard Top Rap Albums, and number one on the Billboard Top Christian Albums charts.
