Olly Murs
Olly Murs was born on May 14, 1984 in Witham, Essex. Murs’ first career move was performing with a band called Small Town Blaggers. Murs’ first roles were on the reality TV shows, Deal or No Deal and X Factor. He was on the X Factor from 2009 to 2010 during the sixth series of the show. Although Murs took second place after winner Joe McElderry, he still went on to perform on the X Factor tour.
After his defeat, he went on to work on his debut album. His first single was released on August 27, 2010, and was called Please Don’t Let Me Go. A few months later, he released his entire self-titled album, Olly Murs. Four albums followed that; they were In Case You Didn’t Know (2011), Right Place Right Time (2012), Never Been Better (2014), and 24 Hrs (2016).
Murs has been nominated and has won many awards including Best British Album, Best British Solo Artist, and Best International Music. Murs was given a position as a coach and judge on The Voice UK.
