Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark
Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark also known as OMD is an electronic band which was formed in 1978 in Liverpool, England. The band is made up of Martin Cooper, Paul Humphreys, Stuart Kershaw, and Andy McCluskey.
The group released a self-titled debut album in 1980. They released another album, Organisation, in the same year. One of the tracks in the release, “Enola Gay,” entered the UK Top Ten.
Their song “So In Love” became popular in the US and made it to No. 26 in the charts. They scored another hit in 1986 with “If You Leave” which peaked at No. 4 of the US charts.
Some of the albums by OMD are Junk Culture, The Pacific Age, Universal, English Electric, and History of Modern. They latest effort, The Punishment of Luxury was released in 2017.
