Otoboke Beaver

Otoboke Beaver is an all-girl punk band quartet with the line-up Accorinrin (Guitar&Vocals), Yoyoyoshie (Guitar), Pop (Drums) and Hiro-chan (bass). The original bassist left and Hiro-chan emailed the band asking to join and was accepted. The band is very much on the thrash side of punk, with a hard as nails sound they describe as “knock out or pound cake band.” They started out with a demo CD in 2011, and soon signed to the Egypt Records label by 2012.

Otoboke Beaver’s UK label is Damnably, which sent them on tour accompanied by the acts Shonen Knife and Leggy in 2016, bolstering their fame. After a round of funding on Campfire and Kickstarter, a performance at SXSW in 2017 followed. Since then, they’ve continued to tour with artists such as Miyavi, Guitar Wolf, Shonen Knife, Wussy, Say Sue Me, Leggy, and Breakfast Muff.
